Postal Petals wanted to elevated their website experience for new and returning customers, but, what they didn’t realize, is that customers weren't making purchases because they didn’t understand the products.

CHALLENGE

Customers of Postal Petals show excitement in backing a Black, female-led wellness startup; however, perplexing navigation and lack of visual cohesion lead to uncertainty and purchase abandonment. Customers require clear information to confidently purchase products and workshops.

DESIGN GOALS

The design team aimed to boost customer comprehension of the products' utilization and advantages while enhancing the reliability and user experience of the customer journey, ensuring the preservation of the original brand identity, color palette, and logo.

SOLUTION

By restructuring the navigation and providing accurate product details and visuals, customers could more easily find and comprehend available buying choices. By enhancing visual consistency and offering current product data, customers experienced increased certainty in completing a transaction.

Postal Petals sought guidance on improving their website's user experience for both novice and returning customers, with the goal of increasing product sales.

DESIGN GOALS

Improve customer understanding of products: Identifying the product, its usage, its benefits, and its appeal to consumers Enhance the customer experience journey: Concentrate on pleasure, dependability, user-friendliness, and smooth navigation

SOLUTION

By reorganizing the navigation, providing accurate product descriptions and images, and defining the workshops, customers will better be able to locate products and understand their purchase options. By balancing the colors, utilizing typographic hierarchy, removing pop-up ads, and keeping event listings updated, customers will trust the site and be more likely to confidently make a purchase.

Process

Research & Analysis: We conducted user interviews, surveys, and analyzed in-app analytics to understand the pain points and user needs. We also studied competitor apps and industry trends to gather insights


Information Architecture: Based on the research findings, we restructured the app's navigation and content, prioritizing features and information according to user needs.


Wireframing & Prototyping: We designed low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the new layout and navigation, iteratively refining them based on user feedback. Afterward, we built a high-fidelity, interactive prototype to test the design.


Usability Testing: We conducted usability tests with a diverse group of users to validate the design and identify areas for improvement. Based on the feedback, we made necessary adjustments to the design.


Visual Design & Style Guide: We developed a cohesive visual language, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, ensuring consistency throughout the app. We also created a style guide to maintain design consistency in future updates.

Conclusion

The StreamLine mobile banking app redesign successfully addressed the usability issues, resulting in a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
